About OrAnge

OrAnge, the service corps of Lodge 232, is dedicated to providing service to the Caddo Area Council and organizations inside our communities. OrAnge is composed of members of the Akela Wahinapay Lodge 232. It was created to fulfill our obligation as a service organization and to provide service to our local communities and to our council where scouting thrives. OrAnge follows the Ideals of the Order of the Arrow, which are to recognize those Scout campers who best exemplify the Scout Oath and Law in their daily lives, to develop and maintain camping traditions and spirit, to promote Scout camping, and to crystallize the Scout habit of helpfulness into a life purpose of leadership in cheerful service to others. OrAnge is a local program that only exists in the Akela Wahinapay Lodge 232. It was created in 2006 by Brandon Foster. It has operated at events such as Scout-O-Rama 2006 & 2007, Summer Camp at Camp Pioneer, and Winter Camp. It operates under the leadership of the Lodges Service Committee which includes one adult and one youth advisor and youth chairman approved by the chairman and further by the lodges Key 3. In order to join OrAnge you must be a member of the Boy Scouts of America and of the Order of the Arrow, and you must have a will to serve you fellow man ( or woman ).
